Dear colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 19th World Congress of the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions and the 6th Congress of the Asian Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions which will be held from 2nd to 6th June, 2010 in Beijing, China.
The IACAPAP congress was initiated in 1937 in Paris by the founding fathers of child psychiatry. With generations of sustained contributions, the Congress has become one of the major international events of child psychiatry and allied professions. It attracts around 2000 participants from all over the world at each occasion and brings world leaders together in research, clinical care and advocacy for child mental health. It is also recognized and supported by the dignitaries of the host country.
The ASCAPAP congress was first organized in 1995 in Tokyo, Japan and subsequently held triennially in Seoul, Taipei, Manila and Singapore. Its goals are to bring together the Asian societies of child and adolescent mental health and share knowledge and expertise pertinent to issues in Asia.
This is the first time that the IACAPAP and ASCAPAP are having a joint congress in an Asian country. We have invited many world class experts to speak at the congress, and have planned a rich program with unique oriental characteristics. At this congress you will have opportunities not only to interact with leading experts, but also understand what countries of different cultures are doing for child and adolescent mental health related issues.
Beijing, one of the most significant historical cities in human civilizations, is rich in history and culture. It is also a city embracing changes and exhibits a dynamic combination of the past with modern prosperity. It offers vibrant nightlife, excellent dining, acclaimed shopping and cultural attractions.
We would like to cordially invite you to join us in Beijing in June 2010. We are thrilled about the IACAPAP and ASCAPAP congress and we welcome you to Beijing!
